Network monitoring is achieved through one or more software agents (called "collectors") that are installed within the client's network to perform discovery, polling, and forward data to LogicMonitor's cloud computing platform. LogicMonitor collectors are not required to be installed on each host but instead use standard network protocols to poll devices.
